Kareena Kapoor Khan and Sonam K Ahuja’s buddy comedy, Veere Di Wedding has seen a significant jump at the box office. The movie opened in theatres on Friday with a business of Rs 10.70 crore. It became the third highest opening grosser of 2018. On Saturday, the movie saw a significant jump and minted Rs 12.25 crore. The total of this movie has come to a whopping Rs 22.95 crore, and the kind of state Indian cinema is in, it is a feat for a female-driven movie. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh has predicted that the business will go higher on Sunday. He tweeted, “#VeereDiWedding witnesses an UPWARD TREND on Day 2… Sun biz is expected to be in double digits too… Weekend should comfortably close at ₹ 35 cr+, as per trends… Fri 10.70 cr, Sat 12.25 cr. Total: ₹ 22.95 cr. India biz. (sic)”

Veere Di Wedding also stars Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker. The latter’s presence in the film is bringing in more opposition, as if seeing women talk freely about sex was not enough for that purpose in our beloved country. But when did any kind of propaganda, stop a Padmaavat from becoming a huge hit. So, movie buffs are going to watch Veere Di Wedding at their own discretion. Veere Di Wedding has slipped one step behind Pad Man though. The Akshay Kumar starrer saw a huge jump on day 2 and collected Rs 23.94. Though, it is still running ahead of Ajay Devgn’s Raid and Alia Bhatt’s Raazi.
