Mo Harris and Kat Moon confront Ollie Walters in EastEnders

EastEnders returnee Ollie Walters suffers a shock collapse when he arrives back on Albert Square next week.

Jean’s husband is being reintroduced briefly as viewers finally discover the truth about their recent marriage problems.

Fans have been curious about Jean’s relationship ever since she returned in March and appeared cagey about how things were going with Ollie (Tony Callaghan).

Next week, Kat (Jessie Wallace) realises that Jean seems suspiciously reluctant to go back home, so she jumps to conclusions by assuming that Ollie has been hitting her.

When Ollie is called to Walford to explain himself, Kat and Mo (Laila Morse) are both ready to take matters into their own hands.

However, before they even have a chance to get answers, Ollie collapses just as Jean arrives. What’s going on and what’s wrong with Ollie?

Meanwhile, these new Hollyoaks pictures offer a first look at James Nightingale’s special episode.

As we revealed earlier this week, James’s full backstory will finally be explored in a special edition containing flashbacks to his past.

James (Gregory Finnegan) is currently in turmoil after Sami Maalik managed to frame him for the supposed “death” of Kyle Kelly.

Upcoming episodes will see James on the wrong track as he mistakenly accuses Ste Hay of being responsible for his ordeal.

Despite this, a drunken James soon realises that there are plenty more people who might want to cause him harm, so he creates a suspects board in a bid to crack this mystery once and for all.

When James runs out of wine, he heads to the shop to get more – clearly in a self-destructive mood. Arriving back home shortly afterwards, James is shocked to find “Killer Freak” written in red on his front door.

Flashbacks to the past will then show a younger James land his first role at a law firm called Forbes Carney. His evil father Mac tells him that he has to find £100,000 to help save his family’s business, so James decides to sneakily ‘appropriate’ money from the firm as he’s desperate for his father’s approval.

Other glimpses of the past will also see Mac discover James is gay on his 16th birthday, before hiring a female prostitute and forcing his bewildered son to sleep with her. Will we discover some new secrets along the way?

Coming up on Coronation Street, Mike Thornberry will be bowing out from Weatherfield as his relationship with Liz McDonald falls apart.

Mike has been dating Liz (Beverley Callard) for a few weeks now, but it seems that he’s not the right man for her, as she’s far more focused on her forbidden feelings for Johnny Connor.

Next week, Mike realises that something is amiss when he spots Liz and Johnny having an earnest conversation in the pub.

When Mike asks if there’s something going on, a guilty Liz is unable to deny it. As a result, Mike leaves heartbroken.

Later in the week, Mike’s woes get worse when Liz’s son Steve takes great pleasure in sacking him from Streetcars.

Mike’s setbacks mark the end of Brookside star Louis Emerick’s guest stint in the role. The actor will soon be touring the country in a production of The Full Monty alongside Hollyoaks star Gary Lucy.

Over on Emmerdale, David Metcalfe may be getting a new love interest following his recent split from his wife Tracy.

Although we know that David (Matthew Wolfenden) and Tracy will briefly give into temptation next week, it’s previously been confirmed that show bosses have no plans for them to permanently reunite this year.

In the aftermath of his short-lived passion with Tracy, there are signs that David may want to move on with his life when Dr Cavanagh’s wife Maya pays a visit to the shop.

The pair sit down for a heart-to-heart, but is David playing with fire by getting so cosy with a married woman?
