In case you missed it, the internet decided last week that Kylie Jenner’s bodyguard, a seemingly lovely man by the name of Tim Chung, is the father of baby Stormi. Surprisingly (or not – this is a Jenner we’re talking about and stranger things have happened), various members of the social media community started getting vocal on the theory, which essentially seems to stem from the fact that they think Chung is irresistible and hence Kylie Jenner definitely would have fallen for him and produced a child. Some other theories also relate to the appearance of Stormi, who some believe at just a few months old, definitely, 100 per cent looks like Chung and not her presumed father, rapper Travis Scott.
Here’s some pictures of him to set the scene.
Now, Chung has been forced to come out and make a statement to shutdown the rumours, which he says are “ridiculous.” “I am a very private person and would normally never answer to gossip and stories that are so ridiculous that they are laughable,” Chung said in a statement on Instagram. “Out of deep respect for Kylie, Travis, their daughter together and their families, I would like to set the record straight that my interactions with Kylie and her family have been limited in strictly a professional capacity only.”
Chung, who works part-time as Jenner’s bodyguard, as well as a police officer and also a model, went on to say there is no truth to the story and asked the media to keep him out of “any narrative.”
“There is no story here and I ask that the media no longer include me in any narrative that is incredibly disrespectful to their family.”
Whether or not there’s truth to the story, who can say? But Chung, who does sound genuine when he says he wants to be distanced from the rumours, can at least take comfort in the fact that his Instagram account has grown by 200,000 people (and counting) since the story broke.Â
