If you love royal gossip, getcha’ cereal ready because Kellogg’s NYC is about to have the screening of a lifetime.
When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wed on May 18th, there will be elderflower cake; there will be royal beer; there will be diamond-encrusted ranch dressing. And, 3,500 miles away, there will be an epic breakfast celebration and viewing party taking place at the Kellogg’s NYC headquarters, featuring a menu created by somebody intimately familiar with the royals: Darren McGrady, former personal chef to the Prince himself.
The Kellogg’s viewing party will commence at 5:30 a.m. EST, where a multiple-course menu featuring the company’s cereals will served. From Frosted Flakes scones to Rice Krispies Scotch eggs to Froot Loops cake pops, the royally-obsessed are sure to find treats that make them feel right at home. Kellogg’s is a royal warrant holder, after all, which means its foods are approved to be sold to the royal family.
“There are plenty of ways to add regal flair to a meal, and I’m thrilled to demonstrate that with something as fun and exciting as cereal,” McGrady said in a statement from Kellogg’s. “Whether you’re celebrating this global event with Kellogg’s in NYC or re-creating the menu for your own guests, you’ll be wowed by all of the ways you can reimagine cereal beyond the bowl.”
Fashionistas and foodies can unite to create their own fascinators (funky, fancy hats) made of cereal boxes. Project Runway contestant Kelly Dempsey will be on-hand to perform demos and give peak pointers.
Reservations for the royal breakfast and wedding screening will open on OpenTable beginning May 9th. Keep in mind that it will likely be another 20 years before Prince George is ready for a wedding, so get your royal fix while you can.
