Just days before she overdosed on drugs, Demi Lovato was onstage at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles on Sunday while performing her song, “Sober.”
Unfortunately, however, she completely forgot the lyrics at one point, saying, “F***. I forgot the words,” as she shrugged her shoulders and walked away.
Demi overdosed at her home on Tuesday and was unconscious before being revived with Narcan, an opioid treatment drug. The 25-year-old singer was rushed to hospital and is now in stable condition.
She wrote the song “Sober” after confessing she’d struggled with addiction to Cocaine, Oxycontin and alcohol since the age of 17, when she was the star of the Disney Channel hit series Sonny with a Chance. She claimed to be sober in recent months, but relapsed this past June.
Last night’s episode of the Fox game show Beat Shazam, on which Demi made a guest appearance, was cancelled after news of her overdose became public. The network released a statement that read: “In light of recent reports, we have decided to replace the episode of Beat Shazam with another all-new episode. Our thoughts go out to Demi and her family.” ~Alexandra Heilbron
