All the latest Arsenal transfer rumours, with updates on their potential pursuits of Lucas Torreira and Lucas Vazquez.
Arsenal will complete their deal to sign Uruguay international Lucas Torreira in the next seven days, reports the Mail on Sunday.
Unai Emery’s overhaul of the Gunners is set to continue with the ÂŁ25m acquisition of the Sampdoria midfielder.
The fee with the Serie A club is close to being agreed and the deal will be announced once Uruguay’s participation at this summer’s World Cup concludes.
Arsenal and Liverpool are set to go head-to-head in a bid to lure winger Lucas Vazquez away from Real Madrid, report Marca.
The 26-year-old has been a peripheral figure at the Bernabeu, with the majority of his 56 appearances last term coming from the bench.
Marca claim Arsenal and Liverpool and keen to take advantage of the uncertainty surrounding Vazquez, following Julen Lopetegui’s appointment as Zinedine Zidane’s successor.
Jack Wilshere has not ruled out a move abroad following his departure from Arsenal.
“I am willing to go abroad if the right opportunity comes up,” he told Sky Sports News. “Also, everyone knows I like the Premier League and the battle of it.
“It is literally the best thing that comes up and the best opportunity that we will take. I am not really in any rush, today [Saturday] is actually my last day with my contract at Arsenal, so it’s been a bit of a strange day.
“I have played 10 years as a professional there and had 17 years at the club. We are looking at things and I am keeping myself fit. So if something does come up I am ready to go.”
